Fun ongoing research and training excavation on the prehistoric landscape of Balbithan Wood, which includes Mesolithic camps, Neolithic cairns, and 30 upstanding Bronze Age roundhouses.

Balbithan forms the latest element in 13 years of research that have been published across 2 monographs and 10 articles and has been the subject of two case studies in the Scottish Archaeological Research Framework:

All levels of experience welcomed. The programme includes training and lectures in general archaeological fieldwork, topographic survey and tours of local sites. 

Fee for the two weeks is £695, includes all accommodation (individual rooms in student accommodation includes WIFI, gym, tv, pool and air hockey!), food and travel to and from site.
