Major Duties:
Researches, develops, and presents formal and informal interpretive programs to park visitors and assists with educational programs. Staffs visitor center information desk, responds to visitor questions and dispenses information. Operates electronic cash register, processes legal tender and maintains records of accountability for tender and other property. Operates audio-visual equipment and performs general office tasks, such as answering phones, responding to information requests and operating computers.   Cultural resource activities may include museum cataloging, and inventory, artifact conservation, exhibit design and development, library management and assisting with historical and archeological research.  This position may also assist with administrative tasks as well as special events and volunteer projects and on occasion assist the maintenance crew.
A valid state driver’s license is required. Works weekends and holidays.

    Location Description
    Golden Spike National Historic Site commemorates the completion of this country’s first transcontinental railroad in 1869. Resources within the 2,735 acre site include 15.5 miles of historic Union Pacific and Central Pacific railroad grade, more than 700 archeological sites and historic structures along the railroad grades. All park land is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
