As the successful applicant, you will be an integral part of our new Archaeological Heritage of Indigenous Peoples (Australia & Asia-Pacific)Team which is led by Alan Williams.
Essential Criteria
You will have:
An honours degree in Australian Archaeology or equivalent
At least 3 years experience working in Australian Aboriginal   archaeology
Demonstrated experience in managing archaeological projects
Knowledge of the statutory requirements relating to Aboriginal    heritage in NSW
Demonstrable report writing skills and experience in preparation of standard reports required in NSW
The ability to work as part of a team and willingness to travel to undertake field work as required
Driving licence
The following desirable criteria either singly or in combination would be favourably regarded:
 Stone artefact analysis expertise.
 Experience and /or ability to work across non- indigenous heritage.
 GIS mapping skills and or qualifications.
 Experience in Melanesian archaeology.
