This position is located at the Puget Sound Navy Museum in Bremerton, WA.  Our mission is to collect, preserve and interpret the history of the US Navy in the Pacific Northwest for the benefit of the US Navy and the people of the United States.  The vision is to make the museum a preferred destination for naval personnel, shipyard workers, and visitors to Bremerton and Puget Sound.  The museum accomplishes this mission through programs of artifact collection, interpretation, education and publication.

Provide overall management and direction to the museum collections.
Conduct research which encompasses the history, heritage and operations of the US Navy in the Pacific Northwest.
Identifying, acquiring and documenting current Navy equipment and operations which have potential historical significance for current collections.
Locate sources of historical artifacts for acquisition.
Design and plan professional museum exhibits.
Develop themes, recommend topics and events, select artifacts and serve as subject matter expert for contents used in exhibit displays.
Create original graphics for exhibits, programs, publications, marketing, and social media.
Works with three-dimensional artifacts through display, handling, packing, storing and move.
