Education

Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture degree from a recognized university, and certification as a professional architect in Canada.
Experience
- Demonstrated experience* in heritage conservation;
- Demonstrated experience* in the analysis and the provision of strategic advice related to existing and emerging architectural conservation issues;
- Built heritage resources project management experience;
- Experience in the provision of written professional recommendations.
*Demonstrated is defined as experience acquired during 3 or more years of relevant experience.

Reporting to the Chief, you will work with a team of ten passionate and experienced built heritage conservation professionals. You and your team will be located in Gatineau as well as across Canada. 
You will face exciting challenges, such as guiding the implementation of a vast built heritage infrastructure and construction campaign, as well as collaborate with other multifaceted groups in other federal departments and ensure proper alignment with the best management practices approach in conservation.
On a continuous and active manner, and in collaboration with other heritage professionals (cultural resources management advisors, archaeologists, architectural historians), you will participate in the rehabilitation of sites of key importance for Canadians and you will do it for the benefit of the future generations to come.
