Minimum Requirements:    •    Successfully completed an accredited archaeological field school
•    Minimum seven years of experience in archaeological fieldwork and analysis
•    Or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience
•    Extensive knowledge and understanding of equipment and technology used to perform recording of artifacts and archaeological surveys
•    Knowledge of basic field excavation techniques, ability to process (wash, catalog and mark) recovered archaeological artifacts, and properly fill out field and laboratory forms
•    Extensive manual labor including excavation with shovels and moving wheelbarrows filled with dirt
•    Ability to extensively perform bending, kneeling, standing, and lifting and carrying objects weighing 50 lbs
•    Must have a tolerance for working in outdoor environments, including prolonged walking or standing on various terrain in a wide range of weather conditions
•    Valid Driver's License with a good driving record and the ability to travel and drive regularly, often long distances
•    Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test
Job Description:    AECOM’s Cincinnati, Ohio office is looking for a Senior Archaeological Field Technician for the upcoming field season involving Phase I, Phase II, or Phase III archaeological field work in the Mid and Eastern United States.
Primary Responsibilities:
•    Leads and supervises field crews
•    Works under the guidance of a Senior Archaeologist and/or Anthropologist
•    Conducts archaeological investigations/excavations
•    Performs various reporting functions
•    Screen soil deposits
•    Takes accurate field notes
•    Draws accurate profiles and plan views
•    Records archaeological field data
•    Uses digital camera
•    Processes artifacts (wash, mark, and catalog) and perform basic analysis of artifacts
