This position is located at the Naval Special Warfare Command (NAVSPECWARCOM), San Diego, California.
 
As the Historian you will administer the command history program, research, analyze, document, catalogue, and archive historical material, documents, images, and information to preserve the roles, missions, and functions of Naval Special Warfare Command (NAVSPECWARCOM) future generations.

·         Conduct historical research using appropriate methods based on knowledge of historical sources to complete projects.
·         Analyze and evaluate historical documents and materials to determine their potential historic significance
·         Conduct research in databases, files, repositories, and archives to answer inquiries, write studies, or assist leadership.
·         Prepare written records such as chronological summaries, bibliographies, graphs, charts, maps and other supporting material as necessary to complete assigned projects.
·         Develop briefs and deliver presentations to military personnel and students in training to educate the internal audience about the organization's roles, responsibilities, and mission throughout its history to present day.
