TERA Environmental Consultants (TERA) became a member of the CH2M HILL family in April 2014. Description and Desired Qualifications
Senior Archaeologist, Permit Holder - Vancouver or Calgary, AB
TERA (a CH2M HILL company) is working on the widest selection of high end Archaeology projects in Western Canada. We offer opportunity and challenge to ambitious Archaeologists wishing to advance their career with a forward looking company.
We are currently seeking a Senior Archaeologist that has Permit Holding status preferrably in British Columbia and/or Alberta.

Responsibilities:

· Holding permit in BC and/or AB;

· Conducting archaeological assessments for developments such as pipelines, access roads, power lines, well sites, facilities, etc.;


· Managing crews during both archaeological baseline assessments and excavations;


· Writing high quality technical reports in a timely manner;

· Completing successful projects on time and on budget.


Qualifications:

· Registered Permit Holder status in BC and/or AB;


· Demonstrated ability to manage field crews;

· Knowledge of relevant federal and provincial legislation in British Columbia, Alberta and/or Saskatchewan;


· Knowledge of the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act and National Energy Board's Filing Manual requirements is a definite asset;

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;

· Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service;

· Proficient in MS Office (MS Project experience will be a clear asset);

· Willing to work in an open, team environment.



This position will entail a flexible schedule; therefore the successful candidate must be prepared to remain in the field for extended periods of time.
