Field Technicians, Cedar Rapids, IA

Louis Berger is continuously looking for experienced, safety-conscious field technicians for work on multiple field projects with varying lengths.

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA: Work is expected to run from Oct 12th to Oct. 23rd. This is a local job and does not provide housing or transportation reimbursement. Experience with Iowa field archaeology and the ability to confidently identify and process features are necessary. Previous experience with Phase II or III excavation, feature identification and processing, and soil and artifact identification, are key qualities.

NEW ENGLAND and VIRGINIA: Fieldwork will be based in multiple locations and will include lodging, meal and travel compensation.

The successful candidates will have the following:

· Be self-motivated, able to conduct all aspects of fieldwork in all weather conditions, and be able to work under supervision and as part of a team.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

· Minimum requirements are participation in an archaeological field school and a Bachelor’s degree in anthropology, archaeology or related field.

· Physical requirements include being able to stand or kneel for long periods of time and carry up to 40 lbs of gear in all types of terrain, vegetation and climate.
