Archaeological Technician-New Hampshire-$19.49/hr

The White Mountain National Forest in New Hampshire and Maine will be hiring an archaeological technician for the 2017 field season (mid-May through late September).    The position is based in Campton, NH, pays $19.49/hour, and is appropriate for a graduate student or experienced field technician, particularly with interest/experience in New England and/or historical archaeology.  The focus for this field season will be recording historic sites in a federally designated Wilderness Area, and overnight backpacking trips are anticipated during survey.   The archaeological technician position will be open for applications from 2/17/2017 to 2/23/2017.   (This position was posted briefly in January, but postponed due to the federal hiring freeze.  We now have authorization to proceed with seasonal hiring, and anyone who applied to the previous announcement will need to reapply.)  Please click on the Job Announcement link below for more information and to apply, or search on www.usajobs.gov with the following information:
