Archaeological Technicians needed in Georgia

Edwards-Pitman Environmental, Inc. seeks multiple Archaeological Technicians with previous Georgia or Southeast experience for a Data Recovery of a deeply buried Late Archaic site.

Job is anticipated to begin in early June 2017

Job Description

Archaeological Technicians will work on field excavations, laboratory processing (on an as needed basis), and possible data analysis. This will be a full-time, temporary job that is expected to last 8 weeks once fieldwork begins

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Anthropology or Archaeology
  • 2 years of CRM experience in Georgia or the Southeast region of the US
  • Experience in Data Recovery fieldwork
  • Familiarity with Cultural Resource laws and regulations

 Skill Requirements

  • Proficiency in using standard office equipment and software
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, as well as a with diverse team of people
  • Self-motivated with a strong initiative

 Compensation

  • Competitive pay rate us commensurate with the applicant’s education and experience
  • Government Rate Per Diem check will be provided at the beginning of each week (food only)
  • Housing will be provided by Edwards-Pitman, single room

 Other Considerations

  • Successful applicants must pass a Drug Test and a Background Check (paid for by Edwards-Pitman)
  • Successful applicants must have a valid Driver’s License and have a good driving record
