Field Technicians Needed Phase I-III

We are currently seeking Field Technicians for Phase I and III projects in the Southeast. Wages are based on experience. Lodging will be paid for and are single occupancy. Per diem will be $51.00 a day. Applicants should be enthusiastic, interested in Southeastern archaeology, able to take direction, work as a member of a team or autonomously, maintain field notes, and have excellent interpersonal skills.  Additionally, applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in anthropology, archaeology, or a closely related field or six (6) months field experience with a range of field methodologies, including survey, testing, and excavation;
  • Completion of an accredited Field School is preferred;
  • Experience with a wide range of field methodologies, including archaeological survey, testing, and excavation;
  • Current valid driver's license;
  • Ability to walk and conduct fieldwork for long hours, sometimes in inclement weather and/or rugged terrain
  • Ability to carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 40 pounds;
  • Have the ability to travel to crew hotels;
