Overview

Louis Berger, U.S. is looking for experienced Crew Chiefs local to the Washington D.C. area. Applicants should be local to the area, as there is not lodging or meal compensation with these projects. There will potentially be compensation for local commuting. Work is expected to begin this fall.

Responsibilities

Successful candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology, Archaeology or related field, participation in a field school, and at least 6 months CRM field experience in North America. Field experience should include feature identification and processing, soil identification, and attention to detail both with excavation and recording. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. The successful candidates will be self-motivated, physically able to conduct all aspects of fieldwork in all weather conditions, and be able to follow instructions. Familiarity with transits and GPS units are a plus. The ability to work under supervision and as part of a team is necessary.

 

Candidates should be U.S. citizens, eligible to work in the U.S.; Visa sponsorship (H1B) will not be provided.

 

Competitive salaries; hourly pay is based upon experience. Full benefits package includes vacation, sick leave, holidays, medical / dental / life / disability insurance, 401K plan, etc. Louis Berger provides lodging, travel compensation, and meal compensation while travelling for fieldwork.
