Its goals are to promote community outreach, research, stewardship, and public education involving the cultural resources and archaeological record of Louisiana, the Lower Mississippi Valley, and Gulf Coast. A focus on applied, university-based research facilitates multidisciplinary collaboration, public education and partnerships with private industry, local governments, community organizations and businesses.
