Our Field Services division has immediate openings working on a Phase II Project in Killdeer, North Dakota. Crews are planned to mobilize Sunday June 9, 2019.

 

START DATE IS NOT FLEXIBLE, ALL CANDIDATES MUST BE ABLE TO ARRIVE IN KILLDEER NORTH DAKOTA, SUNDAY JUNE 9, 2019.

SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION
Schedule Travel: Sunday June 9, 2019
Schedule Work: Monday June 10, 2019
Hourly Position: Overtime paid for all hours worked over 40
Per Diem: $55.00/day (per diem is direct deposited bi-weekly; no receipts needed)
Lodging: Single Occupancy
Timeline: Phase II 3-5 days; additional shovel testing 3-5 days (1-2 Weeks Total)
Location: Killdeer, North Dakota

FIELD TECHNICIAN POSITION OVERVIEW      17.00/HOUR

Under the supervision of the Field Lead for Phase I survey, the Field Technician is responsible for performing common tasks associated with archaeological investigations and surveys within the archaeological project area.

DUTIES

  • Perform pedestrian walkover survey, controlled surface survey, and hand excavation (shovel testing)
  • Complete field-related paperwork including but not limited to recordation of excavated shovel tests, plan view and profile drawing.
  • May assist in technical site mapping, photography and artifact collection

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of a Bachelors degree in archaeology, anthropology or related science
  • Successful completion of an archaeological field school
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar capacity conducting fieldwork.
