FEMA – DISASTER ASSISTANCE - ARCHAEOLOGISTS

(RGA) is a full-service cultural resource management firm and is one of the largest independent archaeological and historic preservation consulting companies in the country. The firm has worked in over 40 states and in two U.S. Territories and is continuing to grow at a steady rate out of its headquarters and three regional offices.

RGA IS SEEKING A POOL OF QUALIFIED ARCHAEOLOGISTS TO BE DEPLOYED FOR SEVERAL MONTHS AND PREPARED TO WORK ANYWHERE IN THE UNITED STATES AND ITS TERRITORIES.

Job Description

Duties may include conducting site inspections to ensure that any proposed project actions comply with historic preservation laws, regulations and executive orders. Work may include providing input for environmental assessments and environment impact statements.

Minimum Qualifications:

-Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to pass the FBI background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Minimum: an undergraduate degree in anthropology, archaeology or closely related field and a minimum of 2-5 years’ experience.

-Ability to mobilize within 24-48 hours, commit to a minimum 90-day assignment in remote locations and disaster conditions

-Candidates must have excellent communication skills and be experienced with Microsoft Office Suite

-Prior FEMA Public Assistance disaster response and recovery experience preferred
