Position: Archaeological Technician
Position Type: Seasonal 
Base Pay: $14.00 – $20.00 per hour, DOE
Location:  This job will be based out of our Walla Walla, Washington office but all monitoring work will occur in the vicinity of Tri-Cities, Washington

SUMMARY

Anderson Perry & Associates, Inc., a full-service engineering firm, is seeking applicants for an archaeological technician position on a monitoring project near Tri-Cities, Washington. This construction project is anticipated to last for six months beginning in mid-August and will generally occur on a five-day (Monday-Friday) schedule. Candidates with residency and experience in this area will receive priority. Hotel and per diem will be provided dependent on the distance of the employee's residence to the project area.

RESPONSIBILITIES
– Conduct daily archaeological monitoring during construction project
– Report and coordinate any inadvertent discoveries with project manager
– Maintain daily notes, photos, and logs of monitoring activity and collect GPS data of areas monitored

REQUIREMENTS
– Minimum 6 months relevant experience in archaeological field survey
– Able to hike at least 8 miles per day in in a variety of terrains and elevations while carrying up to 25 lbs. of field gear
– B.A./B.S. degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or a related field
– Valid driver’s license
– Pass a background check
