Overview
Louis Berger U.S. Inc., a WSP company (WSP), is looking to immediately hire an archaeological field technician local to the Washington D.C. metro area. Work is expected to begin immediately and last for up to 6 weeks. Hourly wage based on North American CRM experience. No lodging or meal reimbursement is available while working in the D.C. metro area. Additional projects are pending, but the ability to travel regionally for other projects and work on short notice is a plus.
Qualifications
Minimum requirements include participation in an archaeological field school and a Bachelor’s degree in anthropology, archaeology, or related field. The successful candidates will be self-motivated, physically able to conduct all aspects of fieldwork in all weather conditions, and be able to follow instructions from their crew chief. Candidates should be U.S. citizens, eligible to work in the U.S.; Visa sponsorship (H1B) will not be provided.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. The ability to work under supervision and as part of a team is necessary. There may be short periods of down time in between projects.
Competitive salaries; hourly pay is based upon experience. Full benefits package includes vacation, sick leave, holidays, medical / dental / life / disability insurance, 401K plan, etc. WSP may provide lodging, travel compensation, and meal compensation while travelling outside the D.C. metro area for fieldwork.
