FIELD TECHNICIANS for TX, OK, LA

AmaTerra Environmental, Inc. is expanding! We are an environmental consulting firm based in Austin, Texas who has been serving federal, state, local, and private sector clients for projects in Texas, the greater Southwest, and the central and south-central United States for 20 years.

We seek experienced Field Technicians to serve on survey projects in Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas beginning in September. The positions will be temporary, full-time, and project-based for successive 10-day sessions. AmaTerra will provide single room hotel accommodations and per diem or meal reimbursements. The base wage ranges from $16.50-$18.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Applicants must hold a BA degree in anthropology, archeology, or a closely related field, and have completed at least one field school. Fieldwork will be mostly outdoors and require physical exertion. Successful candidates must be able to walk up to eight miles per day in temperatures exceeding ninety degrees, excavate shovel tests, keep organized and legible paperwork and field notes, and lift up to 40 pounds. Preference will be given to those with prior field or excavation experience in the aforementioned states and those who are already based in the region or neighboring areas.
