Field School Student

Participated in the excavation of the entirety of an Ancient Puebloan field house in Placitas, New Mexico.  Excavated stratigraphically and by 10-centimeter levels.  Surveyed areas surrounding field house.  Collected, analyzed and documented cultural resources.  Combination of field work and lab work. 

 

§  Maxwell Museum of Anthropology-                                     August 2019-December 2019

Archival Volunteer & Student Archiving Volunteer Group

Analyze, document, and categorize cultural resources in the collections of the Maxwell Museum.  Teach undergraduates how to analyze, document, and categorize artifacts in the collections of the Maxwell Museum.

Job includes working on archaeological collections, curated at the Maxwell Museum, under grants.  Work includes inventorying collection, flagging objects that fall under NAGPRA, edit and upload catalog in excel spreadsheets, associate burial objects with human remains, and pull objects for consultations.
