Summary
You will serve as an Archaeologist with the Underwater Archaeology Branch (UAB) of the Collection Management Division (200) of the NAVAL HISTORY AND HERITAGE COMMAND.

Responsibilities
You will serve as the education and outreach coordinator for UAB, leading the Branch?s academic internship program coordination, and developing applicable outreach products.
You will be engaging with the public and the Fleet, and liaising with the Command?s Communication and Outreach Division.
You will serve as a lead historical and archival researcher in support of incoming Requests for Information, site discoveries, archaeological permit requests, and emergent issues related to sunken and terrestrial military craft.
You will serve as a key researcher addressing the interpretation and management of historic aircraft under the Navy?s purview.
You will serve as a field investigator, engaging in the planning and execution of all phases of maritime archaeological research projects associated with U.S. Navy ship and aircraft wrecks.
You will support Branch administrative functions through engaging in data organization, preparing reports and briefs, as well as supporting procurement, testing, and implementation of equipment, supplies, and tools.
You may have the opportunity to complete a U.S. Navy Dive Physical and to undergo training in order to meet physical screening test requirements stipulated in MILPERSMAN 1220-400 in preparation to pass the U.S. Navy Dive School Scuba Course.
