Statistical Research, Inc. (SRI), a multidisciplinary cultural resources consulting firm, has several temporary, full-time, hourly positions available for archaeological Field Technicians for an ongoing project at Edwards Air Force Base in Kern County, CA. Qualified candidates should possess, at minimum, six weeks of supervised field training (including at least three weeks each of excavation and field survey) in time blocks of at least one week duration (field school or equivalent). Candidates must also have completed a minimum of two upper division college courses in archaeology. Candidates should also have good organizational skills, a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn and execute new tasks.
The hourly rate for this project is $25.00 per hour, with fieldwork anticipated to last several months. Daily food allowance for the Edwards Air Force Base project will be offered at a rate of $50.00 per day (no receipts required), and single-occupancy hotel accommodations will be provided.
Wages for work on other SRI projects may vary and is based on individual qualifications and experience.
