Summary
About the Position: In this position you will conduct archaeological, built environment, and traditional studies of cultural resources involving planning, scheduling, budgeting, research coordination, fieldwork, analysis and evaluation of projects. You will prepare reports documenting cultural resources and compliance with Federal historic preservation directives. Complete the full scope of the research and compliance process.

Responsibilities
Develop or oversee the development of cultural services contracts and cooperative agreements at projects with possible historical or archeological significance.
Conduct checkpoint evaluations of work progress as necessary and assure conformance with study requirements, regulations and laws.
Identify properties that are eligible for the National Register of Historic Places.
Evaluate and compare impacts that proposed Corps activities may have on significant cultural resources.
Review environmental documents submitted by other agencies and prepare review comments.
Develop mitigation plans which minimize adverse impacts and/or preserve cultural resources.
Travel Required
Occasional travel – Occasional travel (up to 10%) to field sites, conferences, or trainings may be required.
