Red Tail Environmental is a Native American owned firm providing cultural resources services across Southern California.
We have an immediate need for a Principal Investigator to direct the cultural resources program. The Director of Archaeology must have an M.A. in Anthropology or a closely related field, at least 10 years of experience in Cultural Resources Management, RPA, and be Secretary of Interior qualified.
The Director of Archaeology manages, supervises and directs all archaeological survey, site testing and evaluations, data recovery, laboratory work, and monitoring projects, has direct client and agency communication, as well as is responsible for all reporting needs in support of Section 106, NEPA, CEQA, and local regulations. The Director of Archaeology is also responsible for hiring, supervising, and scheduling all archaeological staff. The Director of Archaeology coordinates with staff to track all project deliverables, and provides QA/QC review of deliverables.
The Director of Archaeology also manages marketing, client development, and proposal preparation for the Cultural Resources Program, including budgeting and marketing events.
