The National Museum of Natural History (NMNH) promotes understanding of the natural world and our place in it and this position is in the NMNH Department of Anthropology which is the largest of the museum’s departments featuring three divisions and several outreach programs.

Serves as Supervisory Anthropologist of the National Anthropological Archives (NAA), which includes the Human Studies Film Archives (HSFA).
Manages the NAA and HSFA and uses judgement and initiative to develop collections goals and plans, including preparation of annual budget, which mirror Department and Museum goals and plans.
Oversees the preservation, security and safekeeping of the archival collections.
Oversees the processing of archival collections and preparation for digitization, including organization, arrangement, description (finding aids and inventories) and preservation, and the tracking of these activities.
