Gulf South Research Corporation (GSRC) is looking for qualified archaeologists as on call field technicians. There is an immediate need for multiple temporary, as needed, on-call archaeologists for projects throughout the Southeast. There is currently a need for field technicians for a Phase I (pedestrian and shovel testing) project in Monroe, Louisiana starting Tuesday, February 1st.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
– B.A./B.S. in Archaeology, Anthropology, or related field with prior coursework in, or demonstrated knowledge of archaeology, prehistory, and history, preferred. Associated Degree and demonstrated field experience will be considered
– Archaeological field school experience required
– Preference given to those with prior CRM experience
Compensation
-Wages per hour will vary based on project to project
– Federal per diem wages based on location
-Single occupancy hotel rooms will be provided
