The British Archaeological Project at Grumentum (BAPG) is seeking two well-qualified trench supervisors for the 2022 field season (July 9th–30th). Ideally, candidates for these posts will have at least one season of supervisory experience on an archaeological site, preferably (but not exclusively) in the Mediterranean. Applications from individuals with a background in excavation seeking their first opportunity to supervise will also be considered. Possession of a valid driver’s license and ability to drive a transport van an advantage. These positions include full room and board, travel expenses to/from Italy and a weekly stipend (€150) for the length of the project. Interested individuals should send a letter of introduction and current CV to Dr. Taylor Lauritsen at lauritsen@klassarch.uni-kiel.de. Further information about the BAPG and the forthcoming campaign can be found at www.bapg.co.uk.
N.B. All participants in the field school must be fully vaccinated, including all boosters made available to the public prior to the start of the 2022 season.
