About the Position: This position serves as the Joint Special Operations Command Historian and is the Commander’s principal advisor on matters pertaining to history. This position is located in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Fort Bragg is co-located with Fayetteville, North Carolina, a culturally diverse city.

Conduct research that supports the historical information requirements of the organization and it’s affiliated elements.
Develop plans, policies, and procedures for data collection for command histories.
Represent the organization on historical matters at professional conferences.
Manage the organizations historical program to ensure it conforms to professional standard.
Serve as the advisor to the commander and staff on all matters of historical precedent.
Collect and record historical data from interviews and written content.
