Natural Investigations is an environmental consulting company based Sacramento, California. We provide a full range of environmental services, including biological and cultural resource management services. We have immediate openings for field archaeologists on various projects in the Northern Sierra Nevada Mountains, including portions of California and Nevada. Field crew needed for Phase I assessment surveys, archaeological site recording, and related tasks.
Qualified candidates must have:
· Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field;
· At least 1 year of archaeological field experience with a professional cultural resources firm;
· Experience performing archaeological survey and construction monitoring;;
· Ability to work in diverse terrain that will involves hiking to and from project areas;
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
· Ability to work well with others and be a proactive part of a project team;
· Detailed note taking skills;
· A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation;
· Archaeologists based in Sacramento and larger Northern California or Nevada regions preferred.
