Duties
Identifies research needs, prepares requests for proposals or statements of work and provides oversight for research projects.
Designs, develops, test, and implements scientific monitoring protocols to identify, evaluate, and conduct long-term monitoring of park resources.
Develops and conducts complex, scientifically credible preservation, mitigation, stabilization, and restoration projects needed to restore and/or maintain natural and cultural resources integrity.
Serves as a compliance expert for the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and other related laws and policy.
Serves as the collateral duty museum collections manager for the monument with responsibility for the long-term preservation and storage of all museum collections from a variety of disciplines.
Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level.
