Duties
Submits proposals to the Division Chief concerning topics for research; discusses and offers recommendations as to priorities, scope, degree of coverage, and working procedures for these topics.
Plans and carries out moderately complex historical research initiatives and presents in-depth narrative studies and documentary compilations in properly edited form and in accordance with professional historical standards.
Under direct technical supervision of a senior specialist, serves as a specialist on the institutional history of the Department of State.
Collects and updates essential Department historical data.
Participates with senior specialists in presenting institutional historical research to public audiences in written publications, public talks, academic conference presentations, and other venues.
