Western Archaeological Services is seeking qualified archaeological field technicians for
inventory and data recovery projects beginning in August 2022 in southwest Wyoming and
northwest Colorado. Minimum requirements include undergraduate course work in archaeology,
archaeological fieldwork experience, ability to perform strenuous physical activity under
difficult conditions, and basic writing and mapping skills.
$17.00 – $21.00/hr commensurate with education and experience. Single-occupancy hotel
accommodations and per diem will be provided. Must have the ability to walk 5+ miles/day over
rough terrain at high elevation and to perform manual/technical labor tasks (e.g., digging with
shovels, screening sediment, carrying buckets of sediment, etc.).
