Archaeological and Historical Services, Inc. (AHS) is hiring field archaeologists/technicians, who are located in and have experience in the Northeast, for long-term projects in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. There are no extended overnight stays on these projects, which are readily commutable from our Storrs, Connecticut, office. Presently, most work is in central coastal Connecticut. Transportation to projects provided by AHS.
AHS is a cultural resource management firm with over 30 years of experience in providing the full suite of archaeological and historical services and products. Our work is primarily in the transportation sector. We are known for our commitment to excellence. The current and upcoming projects include major block excavations as well as shovel-test-pit surveys. Personnel are also trained to work in the laboratory when they are not in the field, during inclement weather and winter when outside work is not feasible. AHS staff generally work through winters. A Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology or a related field is mandatory, as is completion of an accredited archaeological field school, preferably in the Northeast.
