Fall is almost here and there is no better place to work outside than in northern New England.
Northeast Archaeology Research Center Inc. is seeking archaeological field technicians for work in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont for a variety of projects starting September 6th lasting throughout the the fall. These projects will include Ph I, II and possibly a Ph III Data recovery.
Pay will range from $16 to $19 per hour depending on applicant’s experience and may be project dependent.
Per diem will be $50/day for most projects.
Single occupancy hotel rooms, hotel rooms maybe provided on off days depending on the project.
Archaeological field technicians must possess basic archaeological field skills and conditions including:
Ability to carry 40 lbs. over rough terrain during the course of an 8-hour work day
Ability to stand for long hours and walk over long distances
Ability to work in extreme climatic conditions, wet, cold or hot weather
Ability to clearly communicate with archaeological supervisors (field director or crew chief)
Ability to work independently and in a team in the field
