Position: Archeological Principal Investigator

Perennial Environmental Services is actively seeking a highly motivated person to fill a Principal Investigator position in their Austin, Texas office. Perennial is a rapidly growing environmental consulting firm that provides ecological and cultural resource services to a variety of clients throughout the country, primarily to the oil and gas industry.
The individual should meet the Secretary of the Interior standards for archeology, possess a Master’s Degree or higher, demonstrate experience with state and federal permitting, and have been the lead author on technical cultural resources reports compliant with state reporting guidelines.
Job responsibilities will include managing field projects and staff, writing technical reports, agency coordination, conducting background research, and contribute to proposals and marketing efforts. The candidate must also possess excellent written and oral skills, be highly organized, self-motivated, detail oriented, and be able to work in a high-demand atmosphere. The preferred candidate will have experience working on Projects in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and the surrounding states. A Registered Professional Archaeologist (RPA) is preferred. The candidate must demonstrate strong technical writing skills, have experience supervising field crews, be well versed in the state, federal, and local antiquities laws and regulations, and have experience working on linear oil and gas projects.
