About the Position: This position is with US Army Garrison, Directorate of Public Works, Environmental Division, NEPA and Cultural Management Branch in Model, Colorado. You serve as technical advisor on National Environmental Policy Act ( NEPA), National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), Archeological Resource Protection Act (ARPA), and applicable implementing regulations.
Responsibilities
Provide technical advice on implementing Federal regulations for NEPA; NHPA, NAGPRA and ARPA.
Review training, construction projects for potential impact to cultural resources.
Identify and evaluate historic properties.
Assist with establishing priorities for cultural resource preservation.
Brief senior leaders on cultural resource management policies.
Develop, review and administer projects, scopes-of-work (SOW) for cultural resource investigations.
Assist with management of the computerized cultural resource research and curation database.
