Position is under the Pathways Student Internship Authority, designed to provide students enrolled in a variety of educational institutions, from high school to graduate level paid work opportunities in agencies to explore federal careers while in school. If selected, you must report no later than June 2023 to begin the internship. Student Trainees assignments will be under direct supervision, developmental in nature and assist in gaining the competencies necessary for the duties listed below.

Duties
Conducts research in archaeological databases and other records systems to identify potential sites.
Determines the location of major cultural resources in different environments and assists in adapting methodologies to address such concerns. Utilizes Geographic Positioning System equipment and other techniques.
Assists the State Cultural Resources Coordinator (CRC) with investigations of proposed projects on state and private lands to meet NRCS policy in compliance with State and Federal law in regards to Cultural Resources.
