Ethnoscience, Inc., a CRM consulting firm located in Billings, Montana is looking to hire seasonal archaeological field technicians for the upcoming 2021 field season. We have several projects scheduled this year in Montana and North Dakota involving testing, mitigation, and survey. Work is anticipated to start on May 17th depending on the weather.
The positions are hourly, site specific, and no overtime is anticipated. Shifting between job sites is a possibility. The work schedule will consist of ten days on and four days off. Single occupancy lodging will be provided throughout the project(s) and for days off. No receipts cash per diem will be provided on scheduled workdays and will be paid at the beginning of each 10-day session.
Duties will include (but are not limited to) hand excavation with shovel and trowel, screening, identifying artifacts and features, and writing excavation notes.
Minimum Qualifications Include:
• A B.A. or B.S. in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field.
• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work in adverse conditions, follow directions, and work in a responsible and professional manner.
• The ability to work as part of a team and take instruction.
• Previous experience working in the Northern Plains and experience conducting Phase III investigations is highly desired.
