Clarification from the agency
This is a DIRECT HIRE position.
Functions with professional independence and is totally responsible for formulation of work methods, conduct of necessary research, and preparation of original reports.
Participates in and leads cultural resources surveys as a team member to identify historic properties within project areas, coordinating with other historians and/or archaeologists as appropriate.
Executes historic preservation and/or archaeological projects for the Sacramento District, DoD installations, and other federal and state authorities.
Perform reviews of permit applications and permission requests to determine the presence of National Register eligible properties; assess permit effects to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, etc, in a timely manner.
