We are looking for archaeological field technicians to aid in a Phase I survey project in West Virginia. The project is anticipated to start in late March and last approximately 10 days. Pay rate will be $20 an hour with individual hotel rooms and per diem provided for each crew member.
Qualifications:
- BA in anthropology, archaeology, or related field.
- Completed an archaeological field school as part of their education.
- Able to travel and work in the field for periods up to 7-10 days at a time.
- Comfortable working in remote locations on projects that require walking and carrying 30+ lbs. gear for extended periods of time.
Requirements:
- 3-6 months of relevant field experience
- Must be able to pass all pre-hire screenings
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Compensation:
- Pay rate of $20/hour
- Meal per diem rate of $50/work day and $40/travel day.
- Mobilization/demobilization time and mileage is provided; specific allotments are dependent on the project.
