Apogee Environmental and Archaeological, Inc. is seeking temporary Field Archaeologists to support upcoming Phase I surveys and Phase II testing in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern US. The position will primarily require field survey during the summer, often in areas of potentially dense vegetation, or hot, open fields.
Preference will be given to qualified candidates in PA, WV, VA, NC and/or KY as additional projects in the region will likely continue through the fall. Hiring rate for qualified field technicians/archaeologists is $20/hr. See below for qualification considerations.
Required Education and Experience
BA in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field from an accredited university.
Successful completion of an accredited US-based field school
Experience with Phase I Archaeological survey in the eastern United States (minimum 3-6 months)
Overnight travel required.
Preferred Skills and Considerations:
