Archaeological Field Technicians, Ecosphere Environmental Services, New Mexico, $21.50-$23/hr.
Ecosphere Environmental Services has immediate openings for archaeological field technicians for survey in New Mexico. Positions are hourly and temporary with an opportunity for full-time employment after a 3-month period and assessment. Archaeological field technicians will conduct survey under the supervision of a crew chief and/or field director. Pay will range between $21.50 to $23.00/hour depending on prior field experience in New Mexico. Preference will be given to those with prior CRM experience in New Mexico.
Minimum Requirements:
- Able to walk up to 8 miles a day in rugged, remote terrain with temperatures up to 100 degrees; carry up to 35 lbs; identify historic and prehistoric artifacts and features.
- Undergraduate degree in Anthropology or related field with coursework or training in archaeology.
- Archaeological field school experience or prior archaeological employment.
- Background checks may be necessary on certain projects.
