Job Title: Project Archaeologist
Anticipated Starting Salary Range: $50,000 – $60,000 per year
Location: Georgia or Florida (anywhere)
Trileaf is seeking a full time, SOI-Qualified, Project Archaeologist in Georgia or Floria. This individual should have at least 2 years of field experience and applied knowledge of Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), specifically related to telecommunications projects. Projects are generally completed in GA, FL, AL, SC, and NC, therefore previous regional archaeological experience is preferred. This position has the possibility to be remote, depending on the applicant’s location. However, Trileaf has an office located in Atlanta, GA and Orlando, FL.
Responsibilities and Duties
The job will include, but is not limited to, the completion of SHPO file reviews for above and below ground cultural resources, unsupervised Phase I archaeological surveys, construction monitoring, and cultural resource report writing/production.
Qualifications and Skills
To be considered, the resume of the applicant must demonstrate the following qualifications/skills:
· Master’s degree or higher in archaeology, anthropology, or closely related field
· SOI Qualified
· 2+ years of previous work in Southeast region
· Capable of field work
· Ability and willingness to travel (travel not expected to exceed 2-3 days at a time)
· Flexible and adaptable
· Be able to work independently with minimal supervision
· Be dedicated to excellence
· Good computer skills
· Attention to detail
· Strong work ethic
· Valid Driver License
