About the Position: This is an Archeologist Position in the Environmental Analysis Section that ensures cultural resource compliance and support for Civil Works, Military, and International, Interagency, and Environmental Support projects as well as regulatory permits.

Serves as an archeologist in cultural resources (includes any prehistoric or historic district, site, building, structure or object) relative to Civil Works, Military and Regulatory (permits) projects on cultural resources.
Conducts cultural resources analyses study on project areas, assessing the effects of proposed projects on prehistoric or historic districts, sites, buildings, structures or objects, and developing appropriate mitigation measures.
Determines whether a cultural resources assessment, reconnaissance, survey, mitigation plan, or historic properties management plan is required for Civil Works, Military or Permit projects.
Prepares National Register of Historic Places documentation and memoranda of agreement with the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation, cultural resources portions of environmental assessments for Civil Works, Military or Permit projects.
25% or less – Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
