Archaeological Field Technician Positions Available
ASM Affiliates (ASM) has immediate openings for archaeological field technicians in Oregon, Nevada, and Northern California. ASM is a consulting firm specializing in archaeology, history, architectural history and cultural resource management (CRM) with offices throughout the western U.S. and Hawaii. ASM is always searching for motivated cultural resource professionals to be a part of our team to operate at various levels and capacities.
Projects
The projected workload may consist primarily of local non-per diem jobs. Most of the work will entail daily commuting to and from job sites throughout Oregon, Nevada, and Northern California with occasional short duration projects in adjacent regions. Hiring will occur on an as-needed basis per individual project until fully staffed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Archaeology/Anthropology (or AA degree/certificate with 10+ years’ experience)
- At least 1+ years of field work experience or equivalent
- Be willing to work in and adapt to a variety of environments and challenging field conditions
- Excellent writing and communication skills
Work duties will be performed outdoors and may occasionally be in remote backcountry environments. Duties may require hiking over long distances, standing for long durations, and the lifting and transport of loads up to 25 lbs.
Pay determined based on qualifications and experience.
