This position is located in South Jordan, UT on the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest.
This position is located on a Forest Service unit and is responsible for providing technical support to the heritage resources staff.

Analyze archeological data in preparing reports, for situations where precedents are not fully applicable.
Compile and report information about the nature and extent of known cultural resources.
Review work in progress to ensure compliance in all aspects of cultural policies and standards.
Conduct inventories of cultural resources.
Adapt ground search strategies as determined by specific project requirements i.e., terrain, vegetation cover, and time frames.
Insure that archeology work assignments are carried out in safe, timely manner according to established standards and procedures.
Research archeological reports.
Occasional travel – You may be expected to travel for this position to attend meetings, conferences and site visits.
