Environmental Corporation of America has an immediate need for a Secretary of the Interior Qualified Archaeologist in the Alpharetta, GA office. We are seeking one Archaeologist/Project Manager for infrastructure projects to include, but not limited to: transportation, telecommunications, and transmission/pipeline. Candidates must meet the Secretary of the Interior Archaeology Qualification Standards which include a Masters degree in Anthropology, Archaeology or related field, at least 1 year of full-time professional experience or equivalent specialized training in archaeological research, administration or management, at least 4 months of supervised field and analytic experience in general North American archaeology, and demonstrated ability to carry research to completion. In addition, a professional in prehistoric archaeology shall have at least one year of full-time professional experience at a supervisory level in the study of archaeological resources of the prehistoric period. A professional in historic archaeology shall have at least one year of full-time professional experience at a supervisory level in the study of archaeological resources of the historic period. Experience and/or education in southwestern archaeology or southeastern archaeology is a plus. Although not a requirement, an individual that has been previously permitted to work on BLM land is another plus. Interest in environmental studies (NEPA) is also a plus. Travel will be required.
