Responsibilities
The Interdisciplinary Cultural Resource manager serves as Lassen Volcanic National Park’s (LAVO) principal cultural resources advisor, NHPA/Section 106 coordinator, and steward for a wide variety of cultural resources. The incumbent is responsible for program development and implementation, project management, cultural resource assessments, coordinating with nearby parks and agencies, maintaining tribal relations, initiating and maintaining relevant agreements/contracts, annual reporting, and supervision of 1-3 staff. The position resides in LAVO’s Resource Management program and is assigned to multiple park committees/councils.
