Pay scale & grade
$39,438 to $51,272 per year
The salary includes base pay and locality pay, you will also receive a 2.86% cost of living allowance. This allowance is subject to annual review.

This is a temporary appointment. Appointment to this position will not convey permanent status and will be for a period not-to-exceed 1039 hours in a service year.

Performs survey and fieldwork with agency archeologists.
Conducts library and archival research sufficient to obtain site specific information.
Performs research to identify artifacts common to the area.
Drafts reports and photologs pertaining to field inventories.
75% or less – Conduct fieldwork in remote Alaskan settings that may result in travel away from the permanent duty station for periods of more than 15 days per month. Access remote sites with the use of a helicopter or fixed wing aircraft. Will travel via raft, canoe, and/or boat.
