Terracon, a 100 percent employee-owned consulting engineering firm specializing in Environmental, Facilities, Geotechnical, and Engineering Services, has openings for Archaeological Field Technicians for several survey and data recovery projects in South Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, and Virginia. The projects are expected to start on or about September 27, 2021, and last approximately four to seven weeks, possibly longer. Additional field work may be available afterward. For the data recovery project in Virginia, preference will be given to candidates who already have 10-hr (or 30-hr) OSHA training and maintain current First Aid/CPR/AED training certificates.
Pay is commensurate with experience. Per diem and single occupancy hotel rooms will be provided. Successful candidates must possess a B.A/B.S. or above in anthropology/archaeology or a closely related discipline and have at least four months of CRM experience. Applicants must be vaccinated against Covid-19, be able to work in physically demanding field conditions, and will be subject to a drug screen and criminal background check prior to being hired.
